The Story So Far…

Greece is known as a country mainly well known for its black & death metal bands. It’s time to drown yourself in to more dark and more atmospheric paths, reaching the frontiers of the symphonic black metal sensation that is known under the moniker of Drama Noir, whom their latest offering & third full-length album, “Nightfall Upon The Asylum”, released on May 3rd, 2023, through Floga Records. In case you missed, it’s now the chance to follow them into their own haunting world. Prepare yourself for an intense and powerful experience, especially if you consider yourself a fan of Emperor, Dimmu Borgir, Cradle Of Filth, Behemoth and W.E.B..

Formed in 2017 by Mephisto, Drama Noir has continually evolved since their debut album “Princess Airam” (2018), moving into the excellency of “A Necromancy Lore” and now reaching the outstanding “Nightfall Upon The Asylum”! Each track out of the nine in total masterfully combines orchestral elements with blackened death metal, creating a unique soundscape that transports listeners to a realm of darkness and mystique.

The current line-up of the band consists of Tenevris on vocals, Mephisto on guitars and orchestrations, Vampyrpriest on guitars and Tugce Beserler as lead soprano vocalist. Peisithanatos (bass) & Yngve (drums) who recorded “Nightfall…” recently left the band and they now seek for their substitutes.

Recorded and produced by Mephisto and Psychon, “Nightfall Upon The Asylum” stands as a testament to Drama Noir‘s dedication to their craft. The album’s artwork and layout, designed by Jon Toussas (Graphic No Jutsu), perfectly encapsulate the enigmatic aura that permeates the music. The album also features a guest appearance by Sakis Prekas of W.E.B..
