BIOGRAPHY

Pulse R is a hard rock band based in Athens, Greece, founded in 2011 by six students of a music school, aiming to create a band with diverse influences from the spectrum of rock & metal music. Since most of the initial members were new to the music scene, the plan was to start as a cover band and with time and experience, evolve and take the first steps into the recording industry.

In 2013, they released their first piece of work, titled "Until Τhe Εnd", an EP with four original tracks which was also released as a physical product. The production was done by Vangelis Moschos and Pulse R while the recording & mixing took place at Maplerun's Studio. Mastering was done by Andy Vandette (Deep Purple, Porcupine Tree, Rush, Bowie) at Sterling Studios.

The first live performance took place on 25/02/14 at Six Dogs where the release party for the EP was held. This was followed by concerts in various parts of the country aimed at promoting the EP, collaborating with recognized bands of the domestic scene such as Maplerun, Sober Οn Tuxedos, 10 code, and others.

Their next endeavor titled "In Chains" was released in 2016. A full-length album with ten tracks. The album was released as a CD and "Remember Me" became the band's first music video directed by Spyros Kapsilis & Timecode Productions. It received positive reviews from the media and was supported by the audience, leading to appearances at Greek festivals such as Under The Quarry in Athens, Over The Wall in Crete, and MonoMetal in Aigio where they had the opportunity to perform alongside talented bands like Dead South Dealers, SiXforNinE, and POEM, as well as legendary names like Uriah Heep.

In March 2017, they participated in a compilation of songs from the greek rock & metal scene, a CD named "Electrified Sinners" which was released in the Greek Metal Hammer (n.387) featuring the track "Digital (R)evolution" (In Chains), while in the spring of 2018, they performed their first international live show in Foligno, Italy, and at the Rockeggiando festival.

During the pandemic, the band worked on their second album which was released in August 2023 titled "Sacrificient". "Sacrificient" consists of nine tracks and was produced by Steve Lado (Tardive Dyskinesia, Potergeist, Sacred Outcry) and Pulse R. Drum recordings took place at Devasoundz Studios by Fotis Benardo while vocals were recorded by George Prokopiou (Poem, Mother Of Millions). The title track also became the first music video of the album directed by Giannis Kaimakamis & The Nightwatchers.
